With over 30 years of experience, Chantal has been both a leader and pioneer in the field of TMJ physiotherapy. She received her degree from the University of Montreal in 1990 and went on to study the TMJ for her masters degree at Ottawa University. Chantal has taught for over 25 years at both the University of Ottawa and Cégep de l’Outaouais and continues to both teach and lecture on the TMJ for both the college of physiotherapists, and regional specialists. Having graduated as an osteopath in 2005, Chantal has developed experience in the treatment of cranio-cervical and craniofacial disorders as well.
Her expertise includes the treatment of complex neural conditions (such as trigeminal neuralgia, Bell’s palsy, and dystonia) in both adults and infants (including plagiocephaly and torticollis). For the last number of years, Chantal has also studied and received advanced training in vestibular disorders and vertigo to better assist clients with dizziness, vertigo and tinnitus.
A graduate of the University of Ottawa, Trudy has over 25 years experience in the field of TMJ and cranio-cervical disorders. Trudy has extended her passion of physiotherapy into teaching, both students and peers. She has taught physiotherapy at the university of Ottawa, as well as the Cégep de l’Outaouais. She also continues to teach ongoing education to physiotherapists, and has taught at the college of physiotherapists of Quebec and Ontario. . She has been a lecturer to various professional affiliates, including dentists and dental hygienists. Trudy’s interest in osteopathy first occurred after taking a course in osteopathy at the University of Ottawa in 1992. She graduated as an osteopath from Academie Still in 2005. She now shares her knowledge and continues to teach osteopathy, specifically osteopathy of cranium. Apart from specializing in TMJ and craniocervical disorders, Trudy has extensive training in the treatment of headaches and migraines, craniofacial disorders, concussions and neurological conditions, including chiari and dystonia. With her osteopathic training, she is also adept at the treatment of cranial disorders in children.
Diane is a graduate of McGill University and has worked throughout Canada as an orthopaedic physiotherapist for more than 30 years. Apart from orthopaedics, she has had extensive training in cranial moblization and myofascial training. She is also fully trained in acupuncture, an effective adjunct to physiotherapy treatment. She has deveopped these skills to treat not only TMJ disorders, but also craniocervical and craniofacial dysfunctions.
Diane has also received extensive training in the management of concussion. A lover of learning, she continues her advanced path in vestibular and dizziness treatment as well, trained to treat those suffering from dizziness, vertigo, balance issues or those presenting benign positional vertigo.
Nathalie has over 25 years experience in physiotherapy and is a graduate from Laval University (1994). She has worked with both the Ottawa and Gatineau clinics since 1995, having owned and managed her own clinic in Rimouski prior to that time. Her love of orthopaedics as well as her commitment to patient care have been great assets in the treatment of our clientele.
Nathalie is a skilled manual therapist. In addition to treating TMJ disorders, she also has a passion for various sports injuries. She has taken extensive courses on the head, neck and shoulder and uses manual therapy, fascial releasing and taping as her main treatment tools. She is also trained in post concussion management and care as well as osteopathy techniques.
Eric is a graduate of Laval University, having graduated over 25 years ago. Shortly thereafter, he began treating both an orthopaedic clientele and a geriatric population in the field of rehabilitation. However, he began specializing in craniocervical disorders and TMJ treatment 20 years ago. Although he has lectured his peers and taught with the college of physIotherapists, his first love remains treating and helping his clientele. As both a physiotherapist (1995) and osteopath (2005) he is both skilled and trained in the treatment of complex cranial conditions, including craniofacial disorders, cervical conditions, trigeminal neuralgia, headaches and migraines to name a few. He also has extensive training and interest in general orthopaedics, sports injuries and taping, utilizing osteopathic, fascial and manual approaches.
Having graduated from the University of Ottawa in 1993, Jackie has over 25 years experience in orthopaedic conditions. She began specializing in TMJ and craniocervical disorders in 1999. Jackie has lectured to various dental and dental hygienists across the Ottawa area and has taught with the college of physiotherapists of Quebec for the last 10 years. Jackie has extensive training in the McKenzie method, a comprehensive treatment approach to help manage spinal disorders. She also went on to receive her osteopathy degree from academie still over 15 years ago. With this extensive training, Jackie is committed to finding the source of the problem to better enable her clientele. She therefore treats an array of conditions, including headache and migraines, vestibular conditions, tinnitus and craniofacial disorders, not to mention treatment of the jaw. She is also trained in the treatment of dystonia, torticollis and plagiocephaly in children.
Claude is a graduate of Ottawa University and comes with over 17 years of experience as an orthopaedic physiotherapist. He joined our team in 2015 and has developed skills in the treatment of TMJ disorders as well as craniocevical dysfunctions. He has received extensive training in the management and treatment of vestibular disorders and therefore treats various conditions including benign positional vertigo, balance disorders, dizziness and vertigo.
He has lectured in the outouais area in the field of vestibular training and has taught at the college of physiotherapists. Also trained as a manual therapist, Claude is proficient in one-on-one care and provides the patient with education, advice as well as exercise programs to help them better manage their conditions.
François is also a graduate of the University of Ottawa and has been with our team the last several years. He has developed an expertise in the field of TMJ and craniocervical disorders and continues to deepen his knowledge in this field.
He has also slowly added to his repertoire: in addition to using manual techniques, he also uses dry needling as an effective treatment tool to better address the various musculoskeletal conditions of his patients. Other conditions he treats include headaches, whiplash, neck and spinal disorders and soft tissue injuries, including sprains and strains of the extremities.
Geneviève has an extensive 15 years of physiotherapy, having graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2005. She has specialized in orthopaedics for several years and has recently has begun her commitment to treat craniocervical disorders and TMJ dysfunctions. Geneviève is a manual therapist and fully licensed McKenzie therapist , specializing in back, spine and neck care. This approach allows the patient to become independent in their treatment, utilizing education and exercise as the main treatment measures. The goal is to return the patient to an optimal functional level as quickly as possible. Geneviève also has extensive training in the treatment of various sports injuries, including soft tissue injuries, such as sprains and strains. She is also a licensed acupuncturist and uses this treatment when appropriate.
Louis-Philipe is a graduate of Ottawa University, having graduated in 2010. He has a great deal of experience and training in the field or orthopaedics and sports injuries, therefore further complementing our team. In addition to using manual therapy and exercise as forms of treatment, he is also fully trained in dry needling and taping, extremely effective tools in the treatment of TMJ and craniocervical disorders, as well as post concussion. Louis-Phillipe has been honoured as the rehabilitation physiotherapist for various sports teams in the Outaouais area, including the competitive judo team from the Gatineau region.
